Concrete Polishing: Prepping an Industrial Space for a New Occupant

As part of our maintenance services, we’re often asked to help prep large spaces when a property is either sold or leased to a new occupant. Well-worn, hard-working facilities need a specialized, experienced touch, helping to create a fresh start before operations begin and equipment/machinery is delivered.
In this case, a commercial property manager needed our help with refreshing and reviving over 600,000 sq ft of tired concrete. And when you have that kind of ground to cover and a tight time frame, there is no better method than concrete polishing.
A Closer Look At Concrete Polishing
The beauty of concrete polishing is found in its speed, flexibility, and incredible results.
Specific levels of gloss can be achieved to match your unique needs/goals, and for this property we were asked to deliver a high-gloss finish. This called for 4 stages of polishing, each with a full refinement of the incremental diamond tools with one application of concrete densifier.
It’s like sanding wood with finer and finer grit sandpaper to create a buttery-smooth finish.
And, thanks to the polishing process and the application of the densifier, we’re creating a floor that’s not only beautiful, but also low-maintenance, strong, safe, reflective, and extremely durable.
