Electrostatic Painting of Machinery Project in the Chicago Area

Let’s dive a little deeper into what this electrostatic painting project involved:

Cleaning and painting of multiple machines throughout facility including 30 "Small", 30 "Medium", and 4 "Large" as defined by our client.

1.) Properly lean all surfaces that are to receive paint by hand using a combination of shop vacuuming, industrial degreaser (diluted) & industrial biodegradable degreaser (dependent on the contaminants to be removed), Scotch - Brite Non-Scratch pads, terry towels, and microfiber cloths. Leaving the paint applicable substrate clean and free of contaminants.

2.) Lightly sand by hand (no power sanding) to create profile for new coating

3.) Properly mask off all components not to receive paint

4.) Properly wipe all surfaces to receive paint with Xylene and microfiber cloths to remove any residual oils and prepare for paint application

5.) Properly apply 1-2 Coats JC Inviropoxy Perfection via Electro-Static Sprayer. Color to be black on bottoms and grey on tops per customers direction

6.) Properly remove all masking
