For the first entry in our new Project Blog series, we're taking a look at an Epoxy Floor Coating project we recently put the finishing touches on.
What you can see above are the before and after pictures of the interior space. Covidien, a global provider of healthcare products, had a need for epoxy floors. We started by taking a diamond grinder to the floor in order to create a profile onto which the epoxy could properly adhere. This is a critical step, and involves exacting, patient work. Once we finished the grinding, we laid down a two-part epoxy followed by a clear top coat.
A major challenge for this project was some bad epoxy from our vendor. It didn't set up properly, so we had to start over and repeat the process. Ultimately, we didn't charge Covidien extra for the work, but knowing that they were extremely pleased with the final result was more than sufficient . Indeed, since we completed this epoxy floor coating work, we've launched a few other projects for Covidien, which really reinforced to us the value of quality work, product, and a commitment to stand behind our work.
