Accidents happen. But when they occur in the context of a heavy industrial job site, the fallout can be devastating and costly. This is why at Painters USA, we do everything in our power to ensure the safety of our staff and clients at every step of our process. Whether our team is performing industrial cleaning, industrial flooring, painting, or repair work, safety is always our first priority. Here’s how Painters USA stays safe on the job and ensures a safe environment after we’ve left.
The Importance of a Qualified Safety Director
Safety is so important to us that we’ve dedicated an entire role to its preservation. Our qualified safety director oversees the health and well-being of every single employee. In order to become a qualified safety director in our organization, the candidate must meet several qualifications. These include certification in:
- OSHA 500
- OSHA 10 and 30 Hour instructor
- Aerial Work Platform Instructor
- Confined Space Entry Instructor
- Confined Space Rescue Instructor
- Certified Lead Abatement Supervisor
- NCCER Core Instructor
With this breadth of knowledge and experience, our safety director not only guarantees maximum safety on every job site, but also helps train every employee in various realms of safety so everyone is well protected.
The Best Safety Training
Painters USA’s training regiment is all-encompassing in accordance with the multitude of industrial services we offer, including industrial painting, cleaning, and flooring. For example, every one of our painters is certified in OSHA 10, and half are OSHA 30 certified. We also offer a 4-year certified apprentice program for safety proficiency. Members of our team also carry confined space and aerial lift certifications, as well as undergoing site-specific safety training. Jobs like sandblasting, for instance, require specific safety precautions and equipment.
All of this training pays off, too. We save hundreds of thousands on workers’ compensation claims each year, and we’ve gone several consecutive years without an incident on a job site.
Weaving Safety into our Values
At Painters USA, health and safety are not just boxes to check off every time we enter a job site; they are at the very core of our culture and values. This is why we invest in and train our workers in the latest, safest industrial and commercial cleaning equipment and safety tools for every type of job we perform.
But we’re not content to just say we care about safety. We live our values, too. For added accountability, we’re happy and prepared to receive random third party safety audits 16 times per year, 600 internal job safety audits per year, and daily job safety risk assessments each year.
In short, Painters USA takes a proactive and holistic approach to safety, whether we’re working in a large industrial site or a small warehouse. With a dedicated and qualified safety director on board, comprehensive and mandatory training regiments for all employees, and regular inspections and audits for every job site, our company lives and breathes safety.
