Wear, tear, and relentless exposure to the elements all take an inevitable toll on the exterior surfaces of your commercial or industrial property. Your first line of defense is to ensure that your paint and coatings are in good repair, and are able to protect the metal surface underneath.
When damage or decay does break through this coating of armor, the door is opened to rust and corrosion that needs to be addressed right away. A proactive painting and maintenance strategy is both cost-effective and essential.
Here at Painters USA, we see the value of well-chosen and applied paint and coatings every day. When our clients entrust us with their surfaces, we always have our coating professionals put their expertise to work, applying all of their proper preparation techniques and product selection experience to ensure the highest level of performance.
In short, we know our paint!
Let’s take a look at a real-life example.
Paint and Corrosion Control for a Chicago Distribution Center
Wear and tear just doesn’t get much more extreme than on an industrial loading dock.
To bring back a restored, healthy, sound surface, we followed the following steps:
- Prepped the dock plates and surrounding metal areas with solvents and power washers.
- Applied two coats of industrial enamel (silver) on the dock plates, and safety yellow on the metal surrounds. The safety yellow may not be the most stylish, but it provides essential visibility for truck drivers as they back up to the dock.
As you can see in the slideshow above, the improvements look fantastic too!
