Painters USA Joins Ranks of Certified Women-Owned Small Businesses

Painters USA is excited to announce that we have officially been certified as a Women-Owned Small Business (WOSB) and recertified as a Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) member by the Small Business Administration - a major accomplishment earned by all of our team.
So what does WOSB certification mean exactly? It validates that Painters USA is at least 51% owned and controlled by a woman - in our case, Chairman of the Board & President, Meg Cook. To get certified, we went through a rigorous process of documenting and verifying Cook’s ownership and leadership of the company. It also entitles us to compete for contracts set aside for women-owned businesses funded by 3% of federal contracting dollars.
As for WBENC, the certification validates that a business is at least 51% owned, controlled, operated, and managed by a woman or women. We’re thrilled to be recertified in our continued effort to champion equity.
