Warehouse Ceiling Painting in Wisconsin

Painting a ceiling in a warehouse offers more practical benefits than a lot of property managers and owners might initially think. Not only is it an opportunity to clean a generally dirty and dusty portion of your facility, but it also offers a chance to apply a brighter finish.
Why does bright paint matter in a warehouse?
Great question! Dark surfaces (dirty, dark paint, or a combination of the two) absorb light. This not only makes more lighting necessary (creating more expense as well), but it also creates a darker and ultimately more dangerous work environment.
Bright paint, on other hand, kicks that light back down into the work area. Visibility is drastically improved. Plus, it looks great! Who can really argue with a bright, fresh finish?
How About a Real-Life Example of a Transformed Warehouse Ceiling?
Take a quick trip with us to Wisconsin. If you like cheese, you’ll love it there. But, beyond being renowned for dairy products, there also is a food distribution warehouse that we’d like to tell you about.
As you can see in the photos above, the ceiling was dark, dirty, and contributed to an overall shadowy and dingy environment. We got to work transforming the space, and our process included the following:
- First, we worked during a scheduled plant shutdown period. This ensured that we wouldn’t interrupt our client’s operations in the least.
- We carefully covered all the racks and flooring with tarps.
- We painted the ceiling with a dryfall paint. This particular product dries almost instantly, meaning that any overspray falls to the floor like dust.
- When we were done, we simply cleaned up our tarps. This makes for a fast, efficient painting process as a whole.
