The primary catalyst for this task was the noticeable discoloration of the ceilings and walls, coupled with a desire to refresh these surfaces with corporate colors. - Preparation and Protection
- Installed plastic containment to isolate the work area
- Protected existing equipment and flooring
- Cleaning
- Utilized high-pressure air to blow down the ceiling, removing dust and loose dirt
- Wiped down grease and oil for optimal paint adhesion
- Painting
- Sprayed the ceiling with a modified dry fall white paint
- Applied latex semi-gloss paint to the walls: bottom six blocks in black, next four in red, and white for the remaining surface
- Coordinated pipe colors adhering to OSHA standards red for sprinkler pipes, blue for air lines, and green for water pipes
- Final Touches
- Removed and responsibly disposed of all plastic sheeting
- Conducted a comprehensive clean-up of the area, ensuring dust-free floors
