Concrete Swimming Pool Repair and Painting in Chicago Suburbs

Nothing says “summer” quite like jumping into a clean, cool pool on a hot day.
Nothing says “disappointment,” however, quite like seeing grungy, chipping portions of concrete in that pool right along with you.
That was the case for this private country club in the suburbs of Chicago. After 30 years, though, their two pools had earned the right to a little TLC. Wear and tear takes a natural toll, even on concrete.
Our goal was to bring these pools back to their former, sparkling glory for our client.
Taking the Plunge - Repairing the Pool’s Concrete
- The first step was to fill the holes and chips. Well, technically the first step was to drain the pools, but we thought you’d probably assume as much.
- For the filling process, we used Fast Patch. It patches and it does it fast, all while restoring the concrete to greater than original strength.
- With the weak spots successfully filled and repaired, we moved on to the painting process. Our product of choice was a chlorinated rubber pool paint, specifically formulated for the purpose.
- We carefully followed the manufacturer's recommendations for installation and temperature restrictions.
This Project Went Just Swimmingly
As you can see from the photos above (be sure to check them out if you haven’t yet!), the end result is a bright, clean pool with healthy and strong concrete.
