About Us

Painters USA’s Owner & President, Meg Cook, Completes Executive Training for the WBENC

The Painters USA, Inc. family of companies is proud to announce our owner & president, Meg Cook, recently enrolled in and completed a weeklong, intensive executive training program for Women Owned Businesses in the energy, oil, & gas industries.  Congratulations to Meg!  And thank you from all the employees at Painters USA, Inc. for taking measures to open new avenues of business for our companies to pursue.

The WBENC’s Energy Executive Program is designed to advance WBE leaders within the energy industry which will impact the long-term success of diversity among businesses who make up the energy, oil, & gas supply chains.

This intensive program was taught by industry experts in energy, oil, and gas with the assistance of professors from the University of Texas at Austin’s McCombs School of Business and provided valuable content for Women Owned Businesses in the areas of:

The course also presented an introduction to the complex world of the energy industry, and the many hurdles required to clear when becoming an approved vendor to the world’s leading oil & gas companies as a Woman Owned Business.

A special ‘Thank You!” goes out to the Shell Oil Company, who were underwriters of the program which was held at their Robert Training Center in Louisiana.  Their state-of-the-art facility serves as a global training resource to prepare employees for the challenges they will face on the job in the oil & gas industry.  Participants in the course were given an immersive facility tour along with real-life simulations of oilrig and process operations – which Meg thoroughly enjoyed!  Check out the picture above of Meg in her hard hat and tell me she’s not having fun!

And an extra special “THANK YOU!” to Debra Stewart (pictured with Meg above) and Michael Hall from Shell Oil for sponsoring Meg’s tuition for this priceless experience.  And to Lindsay All, Andrew Gaeckle, and Pamela Prince Eason from the WBENC for putting on another world-class event.

Meg would also like to recognize Debra Jennings Johnson, Ray Dempsey, & Kimberly Duck from BP;  Mia Spicer & Dave Feldman from Chevron and Susan Stentz from Exxon Mobil – all provided such great insight and valuable, pertinent information which made this remarkable experience one Meg will not soon forget.
